| Jul 11 | Mystery Science Theater 3000Mystery Science Theater 3000When: Fri, July 11, 8:00:pm - 10:00:pm Where: Wrench in the Works The Wrench continues its ongoing tribute to one of the funniest shows in the history of television. Join Joel Robinson and his robot pals, Crow and Tom Servo, as they quip their way through "Gamera va. Gaos," one of five films made from 1965-71 to star the 80-foot flying turtle who shot fire from his mouth and jet exhaust from his butt. "Gamera is friend to all children!" Here, you'll see pretty much everything you'd expect from a '60s Japanese monster film: actors in silly-looking rubber monster suits; an incredibly annoying child; obvious HO-scale models of cars, trucks, boats, planes and buildings; hilariously bad special effects; and dubbing that didn't even try to match the lip movements of the "actors." In other words, perfect for MST3K! Following the main episode is the bonus short, "Assignment: Venezuela," a 20-minute pseudo-documentary about a U.S. oil executive whose employer transfers him to South America. Made in the '50s, this corporate agit-prop shows a Venezuela that predated Hugo Chavez by a wide margin! Contacts: Dean - soulexpress@gmail.com Donna - donnathecatwoman@juno.com | 8:00 | PM |

| Aug 01 | Film: "Goodnight & Good Luck" (2005)Film: "Goodnight & Good Luck" (2005)When: Fri, August 1, 8:00:pm - 9:30:pm Where: Wrench in the Works FREE ADMISSION! It's 1953 and the TV set is still a novelty in U.S. homes. On it, Senator Joseph McCarthy (shown through archival footage) uses fear, lies and belligerence to become one of the most powerful men in the country. And newsman Edward R. Murrow (David Straithairn), who's had enough of the self-righteous lawmaker, decides to fight back with a series of exposes showing McCarthy for the power-mad demagogue he is. This pivotal clash of two titans is the focus of "Goodnight, and Good Luck," director/co-writer George Clooney's award-winning 2005 film. So don't touch that dial!
